“What then should be the focus of the renewing of your mind? Pray without ceasing was the exhortation. Only through divine connection can you build the thought trees that will produce fruit of eternal significance. To produce new thought trees with the part of your mind that is tainted by the flesh will just bring more thorns and more poison.
Consider each thought and its relevance to My purpose for your life. If the thought would lead to a word or an action that is outside of My revealed purpose, you must take that thought captive and turn it over to Me says God.
This will be your strength in staying on track and on purpose. This is why your days have to be ordered and planned in accordance with My Spirit. You have to give your mind the track to run on and then carefully select only the thoughts that will keep it on the track.
A mind allowed to enter the day with no track, will run here and there, out of control, often with severe consequences. If you have a job to go to every day, you usually have the track laid out for you by the company. You have to rise at a certain time and take your pre-planned route to get to the place of employment by a set time.
Then you have to spend your day carrying out the tasks that you have been allocated. You know what you will be doing. You are not permitted to give energy or focus to things that would not benefit your employer during the time specified for work.
Next, you take your preplanned route back home again. This is an example of where your thinking is being controlled or heavily influenced by others, but at the same time, it demonstrates that man can override his own will and control what he thinks about if the incentive or reward is considered worthy enough.
Consider the value of the rewards to come and think and act accordingly. There is no time to wait and see or ‘I will just do this first and then change’. You do not know the day or the hour says God. There will be many who will be found in the process of getting ready to make things different. Just completing this task or that before setting their own will to one side. The message to them is simple: too late is too late. Time waits for no man and neither will judgment”.
